ADA Accommodations for Candidates
Updated by Shayna Pittman
Woven Teams, Inc. ADA Accommodations
Our mission is to eliminate the gap between talent and opportunity, and that very much includes talented folks who might have alternative ways of working.
Woven adheres to the guidelines regarding the administration of assessments outlined on the ADA website.
ADA Accommodations
Candidates who require extra time
Hiring Manager / Recruiter on the company’s behalf can reach out to Woven to create an untimed (or extended timed) work simulation for a particular candidate.
Hearing-impaired candidates
Woven assessments do not use audio or video.
Visually impaired candidates
Candidates have the ability to use their own screen-reading technology and increase the font size of the assessment itself, because the assessment is administered in a web browser. If a candidate requires additional accommodations, Woven is happy to work with the candidate. The hiring manager / recruiter on the company’s behalf may also request personal accommodations on a candidate’s behalf.
Physical accommodations
The Woven assessment is administered online and without a proctor, allowing the candidate to ensure a comfortable working environment, distraction-free and with items that are required for their comfort and safety.
Documentation Requirements
Woven does not require any documentation to provide accommodations. A request from the candidate or on behalf of a candidate for a specific accommodation is sufficient.
General Recommendations: Practice Test Encouraged
Because assistive technology like screen readers vary, we strongly recommend candidates who will be using a screen reader take advantage of the practice assessment first. This supports getting comfortable with the online environment and effective configuration of technology.
We also have offline options for candidates who try that practice assessment and would like additional accommodation.
